It had not hit me that amateur/ham radio is actually practiced as a hobby by millions of people in the US and in other parts of the world. What intrigued me most was that to become a radio ham operator, there are several examination and license classes to be sat for. It seems that the history of the ham radio dates to several years back. What are the possible highlights of its future? I found an article here that talks about ham radios at length.

After reading about reciprocal licensing, I hope in the future we can see more countries opening up to mutual license to promote ham radio broadcasts. The programs can be used for various purpose. I also think we can reach people at rural area easier as the device is more friendly.

Reciprocal licensing is proof that more and more countries are opening up to new advances and are willing to take steps towards making broadcasting much easier. I have no doubt that what the future holds to ham radio operation is a lot of promise.
