I love watching the meteor showers as well. Does anyone know when these are going to be this year? We missed them last year and the kids really wanted to see them. I'm hoping that since we have had such nice weather this winter season that we will get the opportunity to watch these this year without freezing.

I did a small research. Most articles write that Lyrid meteor shower this year will take place from April 16th to 25th. The peak is on April 22nd. Because it coincides with full moon day, we may not be able to see much though. There are quite a few predictions for 2016 which surprises me. For example, there will be 2 meteor showers on October and 3 on November.

Meteor showers sound so awesome! I’ve never watched one before. I tried to stay up and catch one before but I ended up dozing off and missing the shower. I guess it’s more fun to watch with a group of people.

April 22nd falls on a Friday this year. Maybe we should all plan meteor shower parties to help us stay awake and enjoy them! I think I might invite some friends over. Out here in the desert is a great place to watch the stars.
